I was ready to read your opinion on same sex marriage. The United States Senate is expected to vote on a Federal Marriage Amendment Wednesday, July 14.

Calls are needed now to all US Senators. They say they are not hearing from grassroots.
Capitol Switchboard (202) 224-3121
"Senator, we know that children do better when they have one father and one mother. We believe that families headed by a mother and father are the bedrock of our civilization. Despite the overwhelming support for marriage by most Americans, activist judges continue to block protective marriage laws. Please support the Federal Marriage Amendment." Thank you, Senator.

Well, if you'll examine the issues closely enough and really do some thinking, you'll find there's a LOT with which you will agree!

I'm all for the abolishment of same sex marriage. What else is Bush trying to do? I'm not real big into politics.

Your statement "That's the first thing I've been able to agree with him on" led me to believe you disagreed with everything else he's said and done. That sounded to me as if you did pay attention to what's going on in the world. My main worry, when it comes to voting for President, is what the President will do in the war on Terror. I'm confident that Bush will do whatever is necessary, as he has done so far. Judging from Kerry's past actions and the speeces I've heard, he will sit on his hands and wait for our enemies to come to the US and take advantage of the freedoms we have here then blow us all to bits. Kerry doesn't believe in fighting for our freedoms, he just takes them for granted, as evidenced by his deplorable behavior upon his return to the US from Vietnam. He was free to say anything he wished and by doing so, he encouraged the Viet Cong to keep fighting. They could see that President Johnson was hesitant to go against the radicals and go all out to defeat the enemy then. He was thinking ahead to another election and tried to appease the likes of John Kerry and other radicals. Here we are, now, and I see history repeating. The difference NOW is that we have a President who will do what he thinks is right, regardless of the picture radicals try to paint of him.

Well, if Bush will do what's right for our country, then that's good then. I haven't heard too many pleasant things about Kerry. No one really seems to like him. I'm only trying to find out what Bush is and isn't doing because I feel that if I am going to vote, I should vote for the one will do us right in the long run.

2004 WorldNetDaily.com

A homosexual couple that was issued a "marriage license" by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom in February is now seeking a "divorce."

The couple, which has not been identified for privacy reasons, is waiting on the California Supreme Court to decide whether the 3,955 licenses obtained at San Francisco's City Hall during a 29-day period are valid.

Let me get this straight ... they are waiting to see if their "marriage" was even valid so they can know whether or not they need to get a legal divorce?

Oh my gosh ... hasn't anyone learned anything yet? Geezzzz!

i have nothing against people being gay but, i don't think that same sex marriages should be allowed. all my life i was brought up to believe that a sacred marriage was between a man and a woman. it would only be tearing down the beliefs of what many people were brought up on. i just don't think it's right.

If people wanna be gay, let em' be gay. But for the love of God, don't let them get married. They can be "Life partners" if they want to be gay. Haven't we done enough for them already by givng them tv shows and gay movies and such?

LoL, haven't we given them enough with gay movies and shows. That is hilarious!

BigGunz

I dont think we gave them any of those things. Maybe its more that they made their own mark their own way on their own time.

It's funny how now you see gay shows and movies all over the place. When Roseanne was on the air, it was one of my favorite shows and I remember the huge uproar it caused when they had the gay wedding. They moved the show from it's regular time slot to 9pm so senstive viewrs wouldn't see it.

and not too long ago that same very show now in syndication is appearing in the afternoon slots!
