Not trying to alarm anyone but have anyone noticed a rice shortage?

We have here in Dallas, nothing but small boxes of minute rice available. At Walmart stores, Sam's and Costco

I have discovered pressure cooking and love to add minute rice to my soups & stews.
It keeps me happy and my wife happy from me fussing about lunch or supper.
Large boxes of minute rice are hard to find at any Sam's club or Costco stores.

Dow Chemical has horded all the water that was to be used for growing rice?

I think the food stamp cutback had a lot to do with it. That was nation-wide.
Sam's said they don't know when their sellers will let them have any.

Are you saying there is only a shortage of Minute rice? Don't you know how to cook the real stuff?

I do. It takes about 10 minutes longer without enrichment or additives. Better for your health.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
I have a pantry full of long grain rice but I use minute rice for the convenience of it & the small amounts needed. Less waste OK?
